Creamy Skillet Mac and Cheese



Indulge in the ultimate comfort food with this creamy skillet mac and cheese. Made with a rich cheese sauce and tender elbow macaroni, it's a quick and easy dish that's perfect for any weeknight meal or gathering.

Ingredients:

  • 12 oz elbow macaroni
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish optional

Instructions:

Cook macaroni according to package instructions, then drain and set aside

In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat

Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant

Stir in flour and cook for 1-2 minutes to make a roux

Gradually whisk in milk until smooth and thickened

Add shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese, stirring until melted and sauce is smooth

Season with salt and pepper to taste

Add cooked macaroni to the skillet, stirring until well coated and heated through

Garnish with chopped parsley if desired, then serve hot
